What's our biggest event at the Jingle Ball?  It's our Chinese Auction!
*YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRESENT TO WIN!*  - Tickets will go on sale online, one week prior to the event. All items will be listed and available for online chances will be open from December 1st - 8th. Ticket sales online close the 8th at midnite. Drawings will be done Sunday Evening at the close of the event. Winners present may take their prize with them. Winners not present will be able to arrange to pick up their prize within two weeks, or will have the option to have it shipped (at their cost - appx $10 for most prizes. The baskets will be disassembled for easier and less expensive shipping).

Thanks wikipedia;  A Chinese auction is a combination of a raffle and an auction that is typically featured at charity, church festival and numerous other events. Can also be known as penny social, tricky tray or pick-a-prize according to local custom. The difference between a raffle and a Chinese auction is that in a raffle with multiple prizes, there is one "hat" from which names are drawn, but in a Chinese auction each prize has its own "hat". This allows ticket buyers to choose which prize to focus on, as opposed to having a first, second, third, etc. prize.
In a Chinese auction, bidders are not prospective buyers - Instead, they buy tickets, which are chances to win items. A bidder may increase the chance of winning by buying and bidding more tickets on a specific item. Although there is generally no limit to the number of tickets a given individual may bid on a specific item, the chance of winning depends on the total number of tickets bid by all individuals.

At our event, tickets for the Chinese Auction are just $1 - or $10 for a Hampton's length (Hampton our giant spokesbunny!) or $20 for a   wingspan - Spread your arms out, and purchase a whole span of tickets and big on your favorite prizes!!
